Addison Schierbeek Architects is a full-service design studio with a broad range of experience in residential and commercial planning, interiors and architecture.
We pride ourselves on our strong working relationships with clients and consultants, as well as our ability to effectively integrate design, construction, technology and sustainability.
Our approach is collaborative and inventive. Our goal is to create intelligently designed and built environments with long-lasting benefits for our clients.
To achieve this outcome, we develop custom-tailored creative solutions that incorporate our clients’ aesthetic and budgetary directives, while providing the necessary skills to complete their projects in a timely fashion.
Our extensive expertise includes site and facilities assessment, planning, programming, schematic design, design development and construction drawings / specifications, as well as permit process and construction administration.
Susan (Su) Addison,
Su is a gifted architect and designer who takes a humanistic approach to the built environment. For over 30 years, she has applied this thoughtful sensibility to a broad range of retail, commercial and residential projects, as well as public projects and exhibit designs.
In addition to her outstanding work for Addison Schierbeek Architects, which she co-founded in 1990, Su has had the opportunity to contribute her talents to a number of award-winning design teams in the Los Angeles area.
Moreover, she has applied her collaborative spirit in ways that enhance the community beyond the urban landscape, including helping to create (and holding the position of Secretary of the Board for) the independent K-8 Ocean Charter School located in West Los Angeles.

Jefferson is a multi-talented architect and planner with over 30 years of experience working on a wide range of highly collaborative projects, both inside and outside the industry.
This includes his role as a founding partner of CADFORCE, an innovative architecture and engineering support services company; his service as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of railLA, a nonprofit advocacy group supporting urban transformation and sustainability through multimodal transportation; and his role as founding Board President of Ocean Charter School, an independent K-8 charter school located in West Los Angeles.
In addition to these leadership roles, Jefferson has taught design and planning at USC, UCLA, and Catholic University of America, and was chancellor of CADFORCE University for which he was running the company’s teaching and training programs in India. He continues his penchant for collaboration as a member of the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles World’s Fair, an epic event designed to positively impact Los Angeles for generations to come.
